One of the most rewarding aspects of our mission is witnessing the incredible impact that seeds can have when placed in the hands of passionate community leaders. Today, we are excited to celebrate the remarkable success of the Little Sprouts program and our ongoing partnership with their dedicated team.
Recently, we received an inspiring update from Del Mar Mesa Garden Club Seed Library about the growth of their community seed initiative. Their latest seed-packing event brought together approximately 30 participants, all eager to contribute to the expansion of their local seed library. Community members spent time preparing seed envelopes, sharing gardening knowledge, and connecting with fellow gardeners of all experience levels.

What makes this effort especially meaningful is that it extends far beyond the distribution of seeds. These gatherings create opportunities for education, community engagement, and food security. Participants not only gain access to seeds but also learn valuable gardening skills and develop relationships that strengthen their community.
The success of the program has been so encouraging that Del Mar Mesa Garden Club Seed Library is now planning to host similar large-scale community events twice each year, along with monthly seed-packing gatherings organized by their garden club members. Their commitment to building a sustainable, community-driven seed-sharing network is truly inspiring.
We are thrilled to announce that an additional shipment of seeds is already on its way to support their continued efforts. Among the varieties requested are summer squash, cucumbers, and peppers for the current growing season, as well as kale, spinach, and carrots for upcoming fall gardens. We are honored to help provide these resources and support the expansion of gardening opportunities throughout their community.
Partnerships like this represent the heart of our mission. Every packet of seeds shared has the potential to grow fresh food, encourage healthier lifestyles, teach valuable skills, and bring neighbors together. The enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated by the Del Mar Mesa Garden Club Seed Library team show exactly what is possible when communities unite around a common purpose.

We are deeply grateful for organizations like Del Mar Mesa Garden Club Seed Library that invest their time and energy into making gardening accessible to everyone. Their success is a testament to the power of grassroots community action and the lasting impact that a simple seed can create.
On behalf of everyone at Vlada’s Seeds of Life and our project “Little Sprouts” we extend our sincere congratulations to the Del Mar Mesa Garden Club Seed Library team and all of the volunteers who have helped make this program such a success. We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting their efforts for many seasons to come.
Together, we are planting more than gardens—we are cultivating stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
