We are thrilled to announce that Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. has partnered with Vlada’s Seeds of Life for an inspiring new initiative: Little Sprouts. This exciting collaboration aims to bring free fruit, vegetable, and flower seeds to communities across the United States, starting in March 2026. Through this initiative, both organizations are committed to enriching the lives of individuals and families, empowering them to grow their own food, cultivate beauty, and foster a deeper connection with nature.

Growing Stronger Communities

Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. and Vlada’s Seeds of Life share a passion for sustainable gardening and the belief that everyone should have access to the tools they need to grow healthy food. By providing free seeds to communities, these two organizations are taking a bold step toward not only enhancing food security but also encouraging a more sustainable way of life. Little Sprouts will focus on increasing access to heirloom seeds—varieties of plants that have been passed down through generations for their flavor, resilience, and adaptability to local climates.

Starting in March 2025, the initiative will begin by distributing free seed packets to public libraries in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. Libraries have long been community hubs, and through this partnership, they will become a central point for individuals and families to access the resources they need to start their own gardens, regardless of space or gardening experience. The seeds provided will include a mix of fruits, vegetables, and flowers, all designed to thrive in the diverse climates across the U.S.

The Power of Seeds: Cultivating a New Future

This collaboration is not just about providing seeds—it’s about planting the seeds of change. By making gardening accessible to everyone, Little Sprouts aims to encourage healthier lifestyles, foster community engagement, and promote environmental sustainability. As people grow their own food and flowers, they will gain valuable skills, improve their diets, and strengthen their connection to the land around them.

In the future, the initiative plans to expand to public libraries in across United States, with hopes to reach even more communities across the country in the years to come. As this project grows, the collective impact will ripple out, creating a culture where gardening is not just for a select few but is integrated into daily life for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

This initiative will enrich the overall future culture of America by promoting local food production, environmental stewardship, and a sense of pride in one’s own ability to grow. Communities that come together around gardening also come together around shared values—health, sustainability, creativity, and cooperation.

A Seed of Hope

Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. and Vlada’s Seeds of Life are planting more than just seeds—they are planting hope. With Little Sprouts, we are laying the groundwork for a future where communities across America can thrive, one garden at a time. The free distribution of seeds will create opportunities for everyone to grow, learn, and connect with each other and the earth.

Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for this exciting launch in March 2026, and join us in supporting this vital initiative that will bring new growth, joy, and opportunities to countless lives. Together, we can cultivate a brighter, more sustainable future for all!

Let’s grow something beautiful. 🌱🌸
