There’s nothing more rewarding for our team than hearing directly from the communities we support. Recently, we received a heartwarming note from Cindy Marshall, Library Assistant III at the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library, part of the City of San Diego’s Public Library system.
💌 A Surprise that Sparked Joy
We were especially touched by a note from a local library team who shared their excitement after receiving a seed library donation. As they put it, “What a surprise to receive your big box of beautiful seeds!” That sense of joy and discovery is exactly what we hope to spark.
🌿 Supporting Community Seed Libraries Through Donation
Their seed library, like many others, plays an important role in bringing people together and encouraging sustainable, hands-on learning. Hearing that “our Seed Library is popular with our patrons and our supply of seeds has been slowly dwindling” made us especially glad we could help replenish their collection at just the right time.

🌸 A Season of Growth and Renewal
Spring, of course, makes everything feel a little more hopeful. “Spring has sprung at the library!” they wrote, adding that patrons would be “thrilled to replenish their gardens with some of the lovely assortment of seeds.” It’s a beautiful reminder that small contributions can grow into something meaningful—quite literally.
💚 Grateful for Community Connection
We are incredibly grateful for such kind words: “Both library staff and patrons appreciate your very kind and thoughtful generosity.” Notes like this fuel our mission and inspire us to keep giving, growing, and connecting.
