Our very own, Vlada Vladic, wins the National Best Recipe by Mulay’s Sausage Company with “Vlada’s Sausage Vegetable Soup.”

About Mulay’s

If you’re not familiar with Mulay’s Sausage Company, you’re in for a real treat! Mulay’s sausage is made from family recipes passed down through the generations. They use only Heritage Breed Pork raised without antibiotics and sourced from small family farms. All products are allergen free as well as keto and paleo friendly. You can buy their products on their website or at a local grocery, such as Baron’s.

During 2020-2021, Mulay’s organized a national competition for the best recipe containing their sausage. Vlada Vladic participated on behalf of Vlada’s Seeds of Life and won the best recipe nationally for Vlada’s Sausage Vegetable Soup

Easy Meal Prep and Nutritious

Vlada picked this recipe because it’s considered a ‘spoon food’. This term is directly translated from Serbian “jela na kasiku”, which essentially means healthy comfort food that’s easy to make. This dish contains a delicious blend of spices and vegetables.

This recipe focuses on accommodating the busy schedules of today’s families. It’s easy to make and prep ahead. It can be frozen and reheated for a quick, healthy and nutritious meal for families.

“I particularly enjoy bringing back old-fashioned ‘spoon-food’ dishes for they are a healthier alternative to commonly served food and they are often nutrient-dense yet lighter in fat and calorie content.”

— Vlada Vladic, Founder of Vlada’s Seeds of Life
