Homemade Cheese Pockets

As long there are children, there will be a need for grab-and-go kinds of food. With just a little planing ahead we can ensure they are still eating wholesome and all natural foods. This is one of our the ways our family is replacing frozen, factory made snacks.

Filled with protein and calcium rich eggs and cheese, Cheese Pockets are filling, and can be turned into a quick lunch with a side of salad. They also make a great hors d’oeuvre or a side dish.

Tips:

  1. it’s best to use 2% – 4% milk fat products
  2. you can add finely chopped ham, chopped spinach or shredded zucchini to cheese mix
  3. they are best reheated in skillet or a frying pan, however they are also great served cold too
