One day my son Marko, who was eight years old at the time, asked for chocolate chip cookies, and suggested that we create our own recipe. So we did!
2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. real vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (dark chocolate)
2 cups all-purpose flour
There are a few tips to making these cookies really delicious: First, whip the butter well before adding the rest of the ingredients. Then when the dough is made, refrigerate it for 1-2 hours or until firm. Finally, be sure you preheat the oven to 350 degrees before baking the cold cookie dough. This will ensure moist and soft cookies.
