Vlada’s “Pesto” Hummus

This recipe combines two very healthy options – hummus and pesto – in one taste good/feel good treat. Serve as a spread, dip, or as an  addition to your favorite dishes.
2 cans garbanzo beans
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 cup walnuts
1 bunch fresh basil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. sea salt
5 cloves fresh garlic
1 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
In a food processor , combine all ingredients except olive oil and mix for about 30 seconds. Add olive oil and mix for another 10 seconds and you are done! It’s that simple.
